ANTAKSHARI AUDITIONS: Auditions for the television show Antakshari were held at Ramgarhia College today. The show is to be aired on channel Star One and the auditions were organised by BM Kalia and coordinator Ranjodh Singh, president of Ramgarhia Education Council.

Auditions of members of family like sisters, brothers, mother - daughters and father daughters. There was no age bar for the auditions. Famous music director for the show Anand sharma was the judge.

MUSIC CHALLENGE: Zee TV has announced that the first round of its auditions for ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge -2007’ would be held on March 13 from 10am to 2pm at the Sutlej Club, Ludhiana. The participants have to be aged between 16 to 28 years and must carry a passport sized photograph.

IMPROVE RATION SUPPLY: Dr SK Thaman chairman of Shree Manav Sewa Welfare Bureau has rued the fact that residents had to return empty handed from ration depots even after a long wait. He said there was a dire need to improve the supply of consumer goods at ration depots and called on the state government to do the needful in ensuring supply of food grain at these depots.

PRICE RISE: Sangharsh Vahini chief Hira Lal Yadav on Monday demanded that price rise should be checked, requirement of NOC for property deals in the Sadar area be scrapped and power supply regularised. Yadav, along with his supporters, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Ambala.

BISHNOI SUSPENSION: District Youth Congress president Bhoom Singh Rana on Monday said the suspension of MP Kuldeep Bishnoi from the Congress was unfortunate for the party at the national and state levels. Bishnoi had always raised the voice of the people, he added.

BODY FOUND: The body of a child was found in a well at Kakru village near Ambala City on Monday. Six-year-old Gaurav of the village went missing on Sunday. The father of the missing child identified the body to be of Gaurav. The police suspects foul play.

SEMINAR: A state-level seminar on domestic violence was organised at Arya Girls College, Ambala Cantt, on Monday. It was inaugurated by deputy commissioner, Ambala, R.P. Bharadwaj. director, Joint Women Programme, New Delhi, Jyotsna Chatterji and director, state resource centre, Rohtak, Pramod Gouri were the key resource persons.
