Sans power for 2 days; PSEB cares a damn

For residents of Sant Vihar, Chuharpur Road, a power cut is not a trouble that lasts a few hours only. For the last two days they are suffering as there has been no power supply at all. All their attempts at making complaints to the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) have also failed.

Taking cognizance of a PIL filed by a social organisation seeking removal of encroachments, shifting of polluting industries from residential area and providing clean atmosphere, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice of motion to the authorities concerned for May 2.
