 Commissioner of Patiala Division Anjali Bhawra has indicted three former civil surgeons of the district for their failure to check the illegal practice of the medical termination of pregnancies (MTPs) at Patran where two graves of female foetuses were found in August last year.

 The PSEB today gave a commitment to
        the Supreme Court that it would pay 50 per cent of the enhanced
        compensation for the land acquired from farmers to set up power projects
        in the state while challenging the high court verdict increasing it
