Fatehgarh Sahib Hoshiarpur Shobha yatra: People celebrated Ramnavmi by taking out a procession. The ‘Shobha Yatra’ was taken out in the main bazaars of the city on Tuesday. Four arrested: Four persons were arrested from different localities with 49 kilograms of poppy husk and 100 gram of smack in their possessions. All the accused have been booked under various sections of the NDPS Act. Nawanshahr Police inaction: In a complaint filed with the SSP, Ranjit Sajjan of Balachaur, has accused the Balachaur SHO of favouring some persons who opened fire at the latter besides issuing threats. The complainant alleged that Goga, son of a police inspector, along with 15-20 miscreants, came at his residence on March 20 and threatened his family members. Terming the allegations as baseless, SHO, Balachaur, Tejpal Singh, said that the police had immediately come into action and registered a case. Patiala PROGRAMME: The Punjab Pollution Control Board will hold a two-day training programme on “management of hazardous waste and industrial accidents” at Hotel Mountview, Chandigarh, from March 28. Chief secretary, Punjab, Ramesh Inder Singh will inaugurate the programme.
