Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Maximum: The maximum temperature rose in

Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Uttaranchal, above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.2 degree C recorded at Rawatbhata (Rajasthan).

Minimum: The minimum temperature rose in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.3 degree C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 30: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: A western disturbance is likely to approach north-west India on March 31. Under its influence rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are also likely at isolated places in north Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 30:

Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35 degree C and 19 degree C.
