Rhyme Time
Sweet dream

One day I had a dream in which I saw

Every Indian was obeying the law

Everyone was helping each other

And treating everyone like his brother

The words like ego and jealousy were not in the dictionary

Everybody was ready to create history

Epitome of honesty were our leaders

Always ready to help the workers

A song of happiness everybody sang

And just then my alarm rang

I don’t want my dream to remain just a dream

As I don’t want to hear anybody’s scream

Nikhil Goyal, IX-C St Peter’s Academy, Patiala

Salute to martyr

His voice against the motion,

Awakens the whole nation

His hand against wrong,

breaks the silence prolonged.

His personality changes history.

His face shows glory,

within burns the fire of victory

What puts him apart is bravery.

He , the son of my land,

his birth occasion so grand.

His blood so pure and red,

his head always rises ahead.

Drunken in the wine of anger,

before him enemies stammer.

He is Bhagat, the great Singh,

like lion the king.

I aim singing sagas of his victory,

I salute thy bravery.
