Thief nabbed: With the help of a business man, a person was caught for alleged theft on Monday. While trying to sell iron pieces to the business man from whom he had stolen the pieces, the accused was identified and handed over to the police.

Woman crushed to death: Joginder Kaur (62), wife of Bela Singh of local Mugalpura, was crushed to death by a vehicle while she was crossing the road near her house on Tuesday morning. After taking the body in its custody, the police has sent it to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Abduction case: On a complaint of Harpal Singh, son of Lachhman Dass of Mohalla New Fatehgarh, Model Town, the police has registered a case under sections 363 and 366-A of the IPC against Kuldip Kumar, a son of Ganga Ram, of the same locality for allegedly abducting his 15-year-old daughter Amandeep Kaur on Monday evening.

Chain snatched: Two unidentified youths snatched a gold chain from Balwinder Kaur, wife of Baldev Singh of Mohalla Fatehgarh, on Monday evening. he Model Town police has registered a case under sections 356 and 34 of the IPC in this connection.
