Aulakh only PAU VC to resign in protest

Finally, K.S. Aulakh was relieved of the post of vice-chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University, by the Board of Management that met in Mohali this afternoon. He happens to be the first vice-chancellor in the 45 years’ history of the university to have resigned in protest, two years ahead of the completion of his tenure.
Prayers light up hearts on Good Friday

Members of the Christian community today took out a shobha yatra to mark Good Friday. The procession started from Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, and after passing through various localities in the city concluded at the same place.

Sarpanch of Sakrali village Som Singh, youth leader Abjinder Singh Grewal Nanoki, sarpanch of Chaswal village Shanti Devi, cooperative society chief Sukhwinder Singh of Sakrali village and other residents of various villages signed a memorandum to retain Boparai as vice-chancellor and sent its copies to the state Governor and the Chief Minister today.

Bhaini Sahib to be spruced up for Kuka function
