Temperatures: The maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and
Kashmir, fell in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in Punjab and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.5°C recorded at Swai Madhopur (Rajasthan).
Forecast valid until the morning of April 12: Weather will be mainly dry over the region with gradual increase in day temperatures.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather likely to continue. Further increase in day temperatures.
