Temperatures: The maximum temperatures rose in Haryana and Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42°C at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).
Forecast valid until the morning of April 13: Weather will be mainly dry over the region. Heat wave conditions are likely to develop in parts of Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Dry weather conditions likely to continue with heat wave conditions in parts of Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.
Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 13: Mainly clear sky. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
