Pravin’s wife alleges threats
Tribune News Service & UNI

Mumbai, April 12
Sarangi, wife of Pravin Mahajan (charged with killing BJP leader Pramod Mahajan), alleged that she was threatened by BJP workers on the court premises today.

According to Sarangi, she was waiting outside the courtroom when some BJP activists manhandled her and threatened her.

Judge S. Davre, who is hearing the case, asked Sarangi to file an application through her lawyer by tomorrow on the matter.

Sarangi later told reporters outside the court that the activists told her to move away from where she was sitting and when she did not oblige them they pushed her around.

She alleged that she has been threatened regularly ever since details of Pravin's strained relations with his deceased brother were revealed in the court.

Trial adjourned

A local court conducting trial into the murder of Pramod Mahajan has adjourned the matter till April 17.

The matter was adjourned after the prosecution sought time to investigate the SMS threats received by the slain BJP leader from accused Pravin Mahajan just a few days before he was murdered.
