Temperatures: The maximum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.The highest temperature in the region was 42.2 recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
