Fans jeer at Sachin, Zaheer

Ahmedabad, April 15
Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan and Ajit Agarkar, who were part of the Indian squad that exited the World Cup in the first round, were today “welcomed” with jeers by fans in the city.

The three, who are in town for the Twenty20 tournament that began today, were booed by the crowd as they entered their hotel.

The irate fans raised slogans against the players and held banners that told them to visit Ahmedabad only after winning the next World Cup. “Go back Sachin, go back Agarkar, go back Zaheer. Come to the city only after winning the 2011 World Cup,” shouted the protesters. — PTI
