Temperatures: The maximum temperatures changed little. They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43 °C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
Forecast (valid until the morning of April 17):
Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Heat wave conditions likely over parts of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and southwest Uttar Pradesh
Outlook for the subsequent two days:
A feeble western disturbance is likely to affect extreme northern parts of the country.
