Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.
Temperatures: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and west
Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.6 degree C recorded at Sriganganagar.
Forecast valid until the morning of April 19: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand and at one or two places in east Uttar Pradesh. Dust storm/thunderstorm are likely at a few places in Punjab, Haryana, including Chandigarh, Delhi and north Rajasthan, and at one or two places in south Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Isolated thunder squalls are likely in Punjab and Haryana, including Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal and Uttarakhand.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region.
Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 19: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy towards evening/night with possibility of dust storm accompanied with squall. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degree C.
