Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Ambala 1, Himachal Pradesh: Nalagarh 4, Bangana and Kahu 3 each, Amb, Berthin, Barsar, Bhoranj, Khandaghat, Palampur, Rohru and Rajgarh 2 each and Dharampur, Ghumarwin, Guler, Kasol, Nadaun, Nagrotasurian, Rampur Bushahar, Shimla and Sundernagar 1 each, Punjab: Balachaur, Ludhiana and Ropar 3 each, Adampur, Gurdaspur and Samrala 2 each and Halwara, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, Nangal and Phillour 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich and Gorakhpur 1 each and Uttarakhand: Dehra Dun and Tehri 1 each. The maximum temperatures rose in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and changed little elsewhere. They were largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.2 degree C recorded at Hissar and Sirsa. Forecast valid until the morning of April 20: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttarakhand and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. Dust storm/thunderstorm are likely at a few places in Punjab and Haryana, including Chandigarh, Delhi and at isolated places in Rajasthan. Isolated thunder squalls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Outlook for the subsequent two days: Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 20: Partly cloudy sky with dust storm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall towards evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 38 degree C. Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning April 20: Dust storm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places.
