Inter-District Cricket Tournament Chandigarh set target of
267 for Ludhiana
Ludhiana, April 21 Chandigarh won the toss and elected to bat. The opening pair of Jaskaran and Manan gave a sound start, adding 51 runs for the first wicket. Thereafter, Naveen, Lovesh and Hitesh put their acts together to score a fighting total of 267 for the loss of nine wickets, before Chandigarh skipper Manan declared the innings after 87 overs. Naveen made 56 with the help of four boundaries, while Manan and Lovesh contributed 39 runs each. Hitesh made 38 runs which included five fours. Jaskaran and Rahul scored 27 and 12 runs, respectively. For Ludhiana, Vivek was the most successful bowler scalping five victims for 100 runs. Sandeep took two wickets for 40 runs, while Abhishek grabbed one wicket for 58 runs. At draw of stumps, Ludhiana, were five for no loss. Abhinav was at four, and Piyush was yet to open his account at the crease. |
