Controversy before match

Six players who earlier appeared for T20 CFI XI refused to play the final of the twenty20 meet today. Rumours were rife that the six - Gautam Gambhir, Anupam Gambhir, Simrat Bawa, Amit Prashar, Rohit Rathi and Gaganpreet Singh - had received a call from PCA authorities, asking them not to play in the tournament, lest they should lose the chance to play for their state in the future. Coach Harish Sharma withheld his comments on the issue. His team took the field without the six players in today’s match. PCA officials, however, denied making any call. The match also got delayed due to the controversy.
