16 hurt in Guwahati blast Guwahati, May 6 Condition of three of the injured was stated to be critical, according to Guwahati Medical College Hospital authorities here. All other injured persons were admitted to the government civil hospital in the city. City SSP S N Singh said that militants had planted the explosive in an old Yamaha motorcycle parked in front of the ‘Sani’ temple in Fancy Bazar, the biggest business center in the entire North East. Most of the injured were small traders and vendors. The area usually remains crowded in the evening on all weekdays. Fortunately, Sunday being a holiday, the crowd was thin in the area, which prevented more damage to lives and property by the explosion. |
