When examinations are near, Students tremble with fear. Maths sums are not clear, Looking at them their eyes are filled with tears. Chemistry and history Both appear like a great mystery. Biology induces sleep, Figures and diagrams pile up to form a heap. Physics puts great stress on mind, To difficult problems, answers they can’t find. Everything appears like a sleepy rhyme, Their reddish eyes remind them of the sleeping time. Chetan Narang, X-B, D.C. Model Sr. Sec. School, Ferozepore cantonment My little brother My little brother, sweet and cute, Oh my God! He never remains mute, He runs like a rat and catches like a cat, And sometimes does things truly mad Seeing an ice cream, he always screams I do wonder what he dreams My little brother, sweet and cute, Oh my God! He never never remains mute. When it comes to studies, he’s so silent Like the ants hiding from an elephant. When he starts crying, it looks like the earth will burst And then he asks me, where’s the purse. My little brother, sweet and cute, Oh my God! He never remains mute. Kritica Deol, VII-B
