Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: The maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.7C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 3: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 3: Mainly clear sky. The maximum temperature will be around 42C.
