Temperature:
The maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, markedly above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 48.9° C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
Forecast valid until the morning of June 12:
Rain/thundershowers, accompanied with isolated thunder squalls, are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is also likely in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Day temperatures in region are likely to fell and heat wave conditions are likely to abate during next two days.

Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.
