Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttarakhand. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Mukteshwar (Uttarakhand) has recorded 2 cm of rainfall.
Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, appreciably above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.5 degree celsius recorded at Bharatpur (Rajasthan).
Forecast valid until the morning of June 13: Rain/thundershowers accompanied with isolated squalls likely at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Day temperatures are likely to fall. Heat wave conditions are likely to abate.
