Chandigarh, June 13
It was a major victory for the Indian National Students Organisation (INSO) when Panjab University vice-chancellor agreed to reconsider his decision to enforce 'No Vehicle Policy' on the university campus on Mondays. Final decision in this regard would be taken in August after a meeting with all student organisations. The decision was taken at a meeting of the INSO and other student organisations like PUSU, SOI and SOPU with the vice-chancellor.

The vice-chancellor assured the students leaders that there would be no unilateral decision and students' community would be taken into confidence before implementing it. — TNS
