Suicide by Capt S.P. Sharma/Tribune News Service Jammu, July 3 Although senior police officers were tightlipped on the issue, sources said the possibility of murder was also being probed into. What had reportedly prompted the police to look into this aspect was that the unsigned suicide note that Megha left behind was a computer printout. Moreover, she did not have a printer to make a copy of the suicide note. The note reportedly did not hold anyone responsible for the suicide. The police has also taken notice of some injury on her neck, besides the marks of the bed sheet with which she was found hanging. An Army officer said she got married to Capt Chaitanya, a Maharashtrian, on September 29 last year. She apparently did not have any problem from her husband’s side as he had reportedly offered to resign from the Army when he came to know that she was being harassed by her seniors. Sources said the post-mortem report indicated that her stomach was empty at the time of suicide. The police was waiting for certain other reports from the forensic laboratory. |
