LITCHI,
the luscious little fruit, was all over Pathankot. Children sat
behind heaps of litchi on the Pathankot-Jammu Highway in the
hope that vehicles passing by would stop and buy from them. Special litchi
stalls were seen at bus stops, near restaurants and wherever
people assembled.
