850 enrolled in Class XI
Chandigarh, July 7
According to the spokesperson of the education department, all seats in the science stream at various government schools, barring GMSSSs - 18, Dhanas and MMC, have been filled. However, a few seats are still available in the commerce stream at GMSSS - MMC. The cut-offs at GGSSS-8, GMS-23 and GMS-22 were 61.1 per cent, 62.4 per cent and 62.4 per cent, respectively. All seats in the commerce section at GMSs-8, 18 and 20 were filled today. The cut-offs in these schools were 60.2 per cent, 61.4 per cent and 59.2 per cent, respectively. In the vocational stream, all seats for IT and ANM at GMSs-22 and 15 were filled today and the cut-offs were 65.6 per cent and 60.4 per cent, respectively. A few seats in other vocational courses are still lying vacant. It has been observed that very few students have opted for the arts stream as most of the seats in this stream are still lying vacant. Counselling will not take place tomorrow. Students, who have scored 53 per cent marks and above, will be interviewed on July 9. According to sources, about 1,073 students are expected to appear for the interviews. |
