In a bizarre incident, stray dogs killed an 8-year-old girl near the Majitha bypass road here today.
According to eyewitnesses, Priya was going on the bypass road, near her village Naushehra Khurd, around 8 am when stray dogs pounced on her. She fell on the ground and became unconscious as the dogs continued to bite her resulting in her death on the spot.
They said the police immediately reached there and took the body to the Civil Hospital for postmortem. Later, the body was handed over to the girl’s parents.
The police has registered a case under Section 174, IPC.
