DPR’s stolen car recovered; 1 held
Ludhiana, July 15
The local police today recovered an official car of the Director Public
Relations (PB 11 N 0029) that was stolen from Sector 34, Chandigarh, on Friday.
One of accused has been arrested. A stolen white Qualis (CH 03 Z 3740) has also
been recovered from him. The police said the arrested person, Sheikh Arshad
Firdaus, wanted to sell the cars in Srinagar. However, the police was
investigating if the accused planned to use the “red light” car in some kind
of terror plot. |

CBI ex-chief to release book

Former CBI Director Joginder Singh will release a book of short stories in Hindi written by city-based journalist Manoj Dhiman on July 17.
The book,” Late Night Party”, has stories that are contemporary and relate to everyday life.
