Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in centimetres are: Haryana: Ferozepore Zhirka (9), Hatin, Karnal and Nagina (4 each), Dadritoye and Punhana (3 each), Delhi Ridge, Hissar, Jhajjar, Hodal, Chirag Delhi, Assndh, Safidon, Kaithal, Guhla, Kharkhauda and Shahbad (2 each) and Hasanpur, Dhansa, Tohana, Farrukhnagar, Masani Barrage, Ateli, Kalanaur, Sonepat, Dabwali, Narnaul, New Delhi (Safdarjung), Ellenabad, Bawal, Khol, Nilokheri, Jind and Thanesar (1 each), Punjab: Feorzepore (3), Bhatinda (2) and Halwara (1), East Rajasthan: Mahuwa (9), Kotkasim, Sikrai and Todabhim (4 each), Kathumer and Govindgarh (3 each), Indon (2) and Manoharthana, Neemrana, Tapukara, Kishangarh, Laxmangarh and Malakhera (1 each), West Rajasthan: Padampur, Pilibanga, Sangaria and Sadulsahar (2 each) and Bhadra, Hanumangarh, Nohar and Tibbi (1 each), East Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi City (5), Hamirgarh (4), Chillaghat, Chandradeepghat, Chhatnag, Ghazipur, Mukhlishpur, Khadda and Shardanagar (3 each), Ballia, Gorakhpur, Rae Bareli and Varanasi AP (2 each) and Bansi, Birdghat, Regoli, Sultanpur and Turtipar (1 each), West Uttar Pradesh: Shahjina (4), Auriya (3) and Hindon and Jhansi (1 each).

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rainfall activity likely to increase in Chandigarh, Delhi, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and no large change is likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 18: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rainfall activity likely to increase.
