The state government is considering the recommendation of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Secretary (home) Javeed Ahmed here today said the government was going through the case and it could be handed over to the CBI in the near future. “As the case involves a dispute between two high profile families, it will be better to give it to the CBI,” he said, adding that the Moradabad police was investigating into the case. New Delhi: Arjun Singh today asserted that he had nothing to do with the allegation of harassment of his grandson's wife for dowry. Arjun Singh told CNN-IBN television channel that he did not even attend the wedding of his grandson one-and-a-half year ago in protest against his opinion being "sidelined" at the wedding. "I have nothing to do with it. My opinion was sidelined at the wedding," he said. Reacting to the allegation, the Congress Party said “Let us wait for the process. The case is only at the FIR level.” |
