Animation design contest winners

Arena Animation students Nikhil Saini and Shraddha Pimputkar have made their mark in the booming animation industry by winning the 2007 TASI-Adlabs Design contest. Adlabs and the Animation Society of India (TASI) came together to present Anifest India 2007, a design contest to provide a real-world experience to students and encourage new talent.

The contestants were given definite instructions about the characters and asked to develop the same within the specific time-frame of a week using their imagination. Commending the students, R.Krishnan, Global Head, Arena Animation, said, “It is our endeavour to ensure that our students are trained to meet the demands of the industry.” —TNS

IT solutions provider Core Projects and Technology has joined hands with IBM to provide solutions in multiple areas of education and government spending.
“IBM and Core would jointly give a presentation to HRD ministry for providing IT solutions in education sector,” IBM country manager Satish Kaushal told in New Delhi recently. —PTI
