Ghazipur (UP), August 9
Five members of a family allegedly committed suicide by setting themselves ablaze at their residence, the police said today.
The charred bodies of Dwarika Agarwal, a drug shop owner, his wife Nirupama, daughters Priyanka and Preetam and son Bunty were recovered from their house in the Aam Ghat locality this morning, it said.
The family members allegedly tied themselves with a thin iron wire and sprinkled kerosene oil over them before setting themselves on fire, it said.
