Alpine International Senior Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar branch, shared top honours in the girl’s sections of the PAU Zone Table Tennis Tournament organised by the education departmment at Kudnan Vidya Mandir School Civil Lines here today. Alpine School eves won titles in the u-14 and u-17 age categories while Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School clinched the title in the u-19 age section.

In the u-14 age section, Alpine International School defeated Green Land Senior Secondary School 3-1. Bhumika thrashed Seema 3-0 and Ankusha beat Shilpa 3-1. However, Jasmeen of Green Land School prevailed over Aarti 3-2 to reduce the margin. In the fourth match, Bhumika blanked Shilpa to enable Alpine School to annex the title 3-1.

In the final (u-17), Alpine School registered 3-0 victory over Kundan Vidya Mandir School. Samriti managed to scrape past Neha 3-2 and Kritika outplayed Shivani 3-0 while Nitika overpowered Palak 3-2 to guide their team to win the title.

In the u-19 age category, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School outclassed Green Land Senior Secondary School 3-1. Nirdosh got the better of Reeta 3-0 and Kirti Aggarwal proved too good for Eeti, whom she outclassed 3-0. Heena lost to Amanpreet 1-3 while Nirdosh beat Eeti 3-0.
