The new examination forms could be collected from the regional or study centres. Students who appeared for the June 2007 examinations could get their answer scripts re-valued on payment of Rs 300 per paper.

The application for revaluation would be available on the IGNOU website from September 1, and at the regional and study centres.

NID launches colour research lab

The National Institute of Design recently launched its first colour research laboratory at its R&D campus in Bangalore.

Supported by Asian Paints, the research lab will explore colour insights in India, using a combination of research and design tools to develop a deep understanding of colour from a range of perspectives.

This is virtually unchartered territory in the world of design in India," Darlie O Koshi, Director of NID Ahmedabad, said.

The laboratory, he said, will try to chart the influences of colour on culture, geography, emotion, consumer behaviour, spaces and several other aspects of everyday life where colour touches us.

It will create strong colour knowledge base across several categories from spaces to furniture, product, textiles, visual communication, packaging, apparels and accessories and any aspect of life of a modern consumer. — PTI
