Bangalore, September 4
The narco-analysis test on Syed Imran Khan, one of the suspects in the Hyderabad bomb blasts, has revealed vital information about the August 25 blasts as well as other blasts in South India.

The forensic laboratory here conducted the test on Imran today while the test on Rafique, another suspect who has been brought to the city by a five-member special investigating team from Hyderabad, will be conducted tomorrow.

Laboratory director Dr B.M. Mohan said Imran was subjected to the test for around three hours. He said some information had been revealed but declined to disclose anything.

Meanwhile, police sources said the test could help crack the case, as information about the Mecca Masjid blast as well as information about terrorist links in South India had been revealed during the test.

Technicians in the laboratory area also expected to gather information about Bilal, the alleged mastermind behind the Mecca Masjid blasts.

Earlier, test conducted on Sameer, another blast suspect, had revealed that there were several training camps on the Indo-Bangladesh border and that these camps were being run by the Lashkar-i-Toiba.

Security has been stepped up in and around the city in view of threat perception from terrorist outfits.

Emphasis is being laid on safeguarding the offices of various IT companies as well as malls and transport providers.

In view of Janmashtami celebrations, security around all important temples in the city has been tightened. Same is the case with the airport and railway stations in the city.

Joint commissioner of police Gopal B. Hosur today denied that the city police had made any arrests in connection with the Hyderabad blasts.

There were reports that a Bangladesh woman had been arrested in the city yesterday. Unconfirmed reports identified her as Shiyak, a Bangladesh national, who had overstayed her visa.
