Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, September 8
Shattering the hopes of spectators and local sports officials, strong contenders Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) blanked local favourites Chandigarh Football Academy by 4-0 to set up the title clash with New Public School Football Academy (NPS) in the fifth Administrator's Challenge Cup Football Tournament for U-17 at the Sector 17 football stadium, here, today.

SSCB players dominated the proceedings throughout the match.

Striker Jacki Chand Singh was the highlight of the match, who scored three goals (20th, 56th, 78th), guiding his team to victory. Sunny Kumar contributed another goal in the 63rd minute. Displaying top-class skills, SSCB converted most of the chances that came their way.

In another semifinal, NPS showed the doors to spirited SAI by 1-0. In a well-contested match, the first half went barren.

Striker Gurpal Singh netted a brace in the 60th minute after getting a beautiful pass from another striker Vikram Singh.

Though SAI tried hard to equalise, the alert defence of NPS gave no such chance thus securing the final berth.
