Striker Jacki Chand Singh was the highlight of the match, who scored three goals (20th, 56th, 78th), guiding his team to victory. Sunny Kumar contributed another goal in the 63rd minute. Displaying top-class skills, SSCB converted most of the chances that came their way. In another semifinal, NPS showed the doors to spirited SAI by 1-0. In a well-contested match, the first half went barren. Striker Gurpal Singh netted a brace in the 60th minute after getting a beautiful pass from another striker Vikram Singh.
