Eyes of three snatchers gouged out in Bihar

After the recent torture of a thief by the police and public at Bhagalpur, the eyes of three motorcycle-snatchers were gouged out by locals before they were rescued by the police in Bihar's Nawada district today.

Official sources said the three snatchers were overpowered after a chase and mercilessly beaten up by a crowd which had their eyes gouged out with a pointed tool near Sirdala, about 35 km from here.

The victims were rushed to the Sadar hospital here. — PTI
