The Tribune to launch Haryana Edition today DESPITE its problems, Haryana has been moving on the fast track for several years. Its economy is growing at a rate which is the envy of its
neighbours. Essentially an agricultural state, it is witnessing considerable industrial growth, which should show results in a few years. Because of its inherent strength and proximity to Delhi, Haryana has become conscious of the idea of progress. This, in turn, is bound to have an impact on the minds of the state’s people, their social and cultural mores and lifestyle. The Tribune has been a part of the life of the people of the state ever since Haryana was born in November 1966. They rightly want more news about the people of Haryana, their changing milieu and their hopes and fears. To meet their long-felt desire, The Tribune is launching a daily Haryana Edition at a special function at Karnal today afternoon. The Haryana Edition, like the rest of the newspaper, will continue to cover major regional, national and international developments. It will also have articles and columns by eminent commentators associated with The Tribune. Haryana Plus, a weekly pull-out we came out with a few months ago, will also continue.
