Mishap: At least 12 passengers including women, were injured, when a private bus by which they were travelling had a head-on collision with a truck on the Gurdaspur-Pathankot highway at Parmanand village near Dinanagar on Monday. Suicide: Laxmi Dass, a resident of Mathauli village in Nurpur subdivision of Kangra district, committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near the railway station here on Monday morning. The family members said Laxmi Dass had been to Manimahesh Yatra and called at home two days ago.

City Club gets new look: Punjab technical education minister Chaudhary Swarana Ram inaugurated renovated building of Phagwara City Club. He also donated Rs two lakh for the club which has tie-ups with 50 other prestigious clubs of the country. Phagwara SDM and club vice-president Amarjeet Paul said thrust would be on promoting traditional cultural activities through the club.
