From Colleges
Ludhiana September 22 Sood gave a visual presentation on how a fresher can get lucrative jobs in the market today. Defining an interview, he said it was a meeting in which a person asked questions to see if you were suitable for a job or not. He further added that the suitability was judged from being well-prepared and confident. A candidate who could answer the questions in a way which was acceptable (but not necessarily right) to the interviewer was the one who had the chances of getting the job. Sood also informed the students about the other aspects employers may look for in relation to specific posts such as - having their own ideas, communication skills, technical knowledge of the subject and body language. Romil Sood warned the students that although they may have the qualification, experience and a proven track record, they may lose out to a candidate who 'interviews better'. Gunwant Singh Dua, co-ordinator, GGNIMT, said interviews were a major obstacle for many job applicants. He hoped that the guidelines given by the guest would definitely play an important role in making them comfortable with the selection process. International Peace Day
