Harminder Singh from the Kheti Virasat Mission delivered a lecture on "health and environment". Parveen Arora spoke on the topic of women empowerment. World Animal Day Students of Jesus Sacred Heart School, South City, celebrated the World Animal Day today by enacting a play-"please, don't kill me" which spread the message of protecting animals. Pre-primary kids dressed like animals danced to the tunes of melodious songs. The story of "extinct-dodo" left an indelible impression on spectators mind. |

Quiz for medical students
Ludhiana, October 4 The quiz was conducted by professor and head of pediatrics. Dr Harmesh Singh Bains, in six different rounds, including one visual and rapid-fire round. The vice-principal, Dr Jagdeep Whig, was the chief-guest at the quiz function. He lauded the efforts of the department in organising such quiz programmes at regular intervals and generating interest in the subject of pediatrics at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Results: First- Dr Kamal Arora and Dr Rashi Singal of DMC, Ludhiana. Second- Dr Dalvir Singh and Dr Naresh of GMC, Amritsar. Third- Dr Hemant Tuli and Dr Siby Kurian of CMC, Ludhiana. The winner team will now participate in the zonal round of the quiz to be held at New Delhi. |
