Sacred Heart win b’minton tourney

Ludhiana, October 4
Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana, emerged winners in the boys section (u-14) in the CBSE North Zone- II Badminton Championship which concluded at BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, here today. Apeejay Public School, Jalandhar, finished second while Sohrab Public School, Malerkotla, and Happy Child Public School, Panipat, secured third and fourth position.
In the girls u-14 years, Sohrab Public School, Malerkotla,won the title. The second and third spots were bagged by Apeejay Public School, Jalandhar, and Modern Vidya Niketan, Faridabad. DAV Public School, Amritsar, finished at fourth place. DAV School, Lawrance road, Amritsar, lads annexed the title in the u-19 years section while Modern Vidya Niketan, Faridabad, won this honour in the girls section. Dayanand Model School, Jalandhar, and Tagore Public School, Ludhiana, secured second and third position in the boys u-19 years section. In the girls section, Blue Bell School, Gurgaon, and Apeejay School, Jalandhar, got second and third spot. In the boys u-16 years, Public Senior Secondary School, Bhiwani, came out triumphant to win the title while DPS, Faridabad, and Little Angels Public School, Panipat, finished second and third. In the girls section (u-16), Sita Grammar School, Malerkotla, emerged champions while Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, finished runners up. The Senior Study- II School, Amritsar, had to content with the third position. Pushkar Vohra, AEO (sports), CBSE, New Delhi, gave away prizes. In her address, Paramjit Kaur, principal of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, congratulated the winners.
