Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.
Temperature: The maximum temperatures changed little. They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.7 C recorded at Barmer(Rajasthan). The minimum temperature fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.
They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.6 C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).
Forecast valid until the morning of October 9: Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall activity in east Uttar Pradesh. Manly dry weather will prevail in the rest of the region.
Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 9: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34 C and 19 C, respectively.
