One-third for traffic, rest for trade

The Gill Road is one of the widest roads in the city but encroachers have usurped more than two-thirds of its width.
In spite of being a busy road, as it happens to be the Ludhiana-Malerkotla highway, encroachments dot it on both sides, leading to traffic chaos throughout the day.

Even though residents of the Cheemna village are providing security to the rape victim and her husband, the couple is still living in a constant fear.
