Homoeopathy can cure AIDS, cancer, claims doctor

October 14 He claimed more and more patients, after spending lakhs on treatment in other systems of medicine were seeking solace in homeopathic system. Explaining the significance of predictive homoeopathy, including the recent advances made by genetic and embryology into its basic principles, Dr Hunjhan said technically right homoeopathic practices could cure conditions posing a challenge for the medical fraternity. Dr Hunjhan claimed that he like some other practitioners of the state had treated a number of patients who had been not been treated by multi-specialty hospitals. Showing documented examples of persons who had been cured of several dreadful diseases like blood cancer, CA ovary, AIDS and hepatitis, he said homoeopathy offered solutions to most incurable diseases. However, he held that the patients who had availed treatment at the onset of the disease were treated. On the increasing number cancer cases, Dr Hunjhan said lifestyle of an individual associated with insecticide laden food stuff was the main reason behind the menace. |

‘Antibiotics in
excess futile’
Ludhiana, October 14 The CME was inaugurated by J. Sivakumaran, vice-president
(commercial), SPS Apollo Hospitals, and attended by 150 eminent
physicians and clinicians from the region.
Dr Gajendra Gupta, professor and head, department of pathology, SDM
Hospital, Jaipur, spoke on authentication of reports and ways to improve
quality standards. He emphasised on the importance of different
analytical phases of laboratory analysis.
Dr Muktanjali Arya, senior consultant in microbiology, warned that in
the wake of indiscriminate use of antibiotics, soon these will be
rendered ineffective and we will be back to the pre-antibiotic era. She
stressed judicious use of antibiotics, especially the life saving ones
while pointing out that antibiotic resistance in bacteria was as much a
global concern as issues like global warming |

Abhi cricket centre enter quarter-final
Ludhiana, October 14 Batting first, Unique Abhi Centre scored 224 runs for the loss of three wickets. Deepak remained unbeaten on 103 runs. His innings included seven fours and five sixes. Amrinder Brar made 38 while Sunny and Anil contributed 30 and 20 runs, respectively. For Kanwal Club, Apinder Singh, Kanwalpreet and Shekhar chipped in with one wicket each conceding 56, 40 and 36 runs, respectively. Unique Abhi Centre restricted Kanwal Cricket Club to 108 runs in 17.1 overs. Only four batsmen, Chinky (27), Charanjit (15), Pawan (12) and Kanwal (10) could double figure. For Unique Abhi Centre, Sahil was the most successful bowler who took three wickets for 21 runs in four overs. Ashu claimed two wickets for 17 runs in three overs while Mohit grabbed one wicket for 21 runs in two overs. In the second match, Unique Club beat Allround Cricket Club by six wickets to advance into the last eight stage. Allround Cricket Club made 133 runs in 20 overs. Ajay top scored with 55 runs with the help of three boundaries and four sixes. Jimmy contributed 16 runs while Rinku and Prabhjot scored 16 and 15 runs, respectively. Johny and Manu captured three wickets each for Unique Club while Sumit and Shetty chipped in with one wicket each. Unique Club made the required runs in 14 overs after losing four wickets. Sukhpal scored 48 runs off 29 balls while Vinoo made 38. Sumit and Pankaj scored 17 and 12 runs, respectively. For Allround Cricket Club, Vicky took two wickets for 24 runs while Pappu and Sarabjot Singh scalped one victim each for 26 and 32 runs, respectively. |
