Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.
Temperature: Maximum temperatures changed a little. They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.7°C recorded at Barmer(Rajasthan). The minimum temperatures rose in Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.0°C recorded at
Adampur(Punjab).
Forecast valid until the morning of 17th October 2007: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
