Sanjay Dutt reaches Yerwada Jail

Pune, October 22
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt tonight reached the Yerwada Jail here to resume serving a six-year sentence for illegal weapons possession in a case linked to a 1993 bombing that killed 257 persons.

Dutt reached the jail around 11.30 pm amid tight security arrangements. Here he would be kept in cell number three, which falls under the category of high-security cell.

Dutt was brought here from the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai by prison van. Dutt was said to have travelled most of his journey standing in the van.

Earlier in the day, Dutt turned himself in immediately after receiving sentencing papers from the special TADA court. — UNI
