4 fresh dengue cases reported
Ludhiana, October 25 Of these, two patients are from the city, while two others have been brought in from With this, at least 30 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals here, while an equal number of confirmed or suspected cases are reportedly under treatment at private clinics or nursing homes in different parts of the city. Enquiries made by Ludhiana Tribune from different hospitals revealed that 14 serologically positive dengue patients were seeking treatment at the DMCH, where the total number of dengue patients that had been reported during the past one month had gone up to 97. Out of these, 25 were from the city. Similarly, the Christian Medical College and Hospital had six dengue patients, an equal number of confirmed and suspected cases were admitted to SPS Apollo Hospital while two others, both belonging to Ludhiana, were under treatment at Mohan Dai Oswal The health administration, however, continues to maintain its stand that unless testing positive to Elisa test, those suffering from fever and having dengue like symptoms, cannot be conclusively termed as dengue patients. |
