Ultrasound centres to suspend work for 2 days
Ludhiana, October 31 In a press note issued here today, Dr Gurdeep Singh, general secretary of Ludhiana Radiology Association, said since many women, particularly the migrant workers and other weaker sections of society, did not have an identity proof, the directions would cause inconvenience to pregnant women. Dr Rekha Goyal, president of the Punjab and Chandigarh branch of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association, has expressed confidence that the state government will reconsider the decision and withdraw the instructions so as not to cause unnecessary harassment to the expectant mothers, seeking ultrasound examination. |
